Voter turnout was light as expected in Bibb County today for the Super Tuesday Democrat & Republican Primary.
Donald Trump swept almost all of the votes in the Republican Primary, taking 2813 votes. The next challenger, Nikki Haley, scored a total of 135 votes. Biden took the blue votes in the Democratic primary.
In the only local contested race incumbent Mike McMillan defeated first time challenger Valerie Cook by a margin of 557 to 319 votes for the Bibb County Board of Education, Place 2.
In the 6th Congressional District race inbcumbent Gary Palmer swept the field by a wide margin and Sarah Stewart edged out Bryan Taylor for the Supreme Court Chief Justice slot.
Amendment Number 1 was defeated in Bibb County by a vote of 1781 No to 1307.
