Mayor Mike Oakley called the meeting to order at 5:00 o’clock. Councilperson Dianne Epperson led in prayer and Councilperson Brad Colburn led the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion to approve the minutes was made (Epperson) and seconded (Lawrence). Motion carried with Councilperson Brad Colburn abstaining.

ALDOT:
May Oakley presented the council with an application for a lighting grant project for a section of highways 219/82. A motion to approve the application process was made (Epperson) and seconded (Colburn). Motion carried.
Police Report:
A summary of activities of the department was given by the Chief. A request was made (Chief) to send an officer to a training class (date not announced). A motion was made to approve the training class (Colburn) and seconded (Epperson}. Motion carried.
General Discussion:
Numerous miscellaneous items were brought before the council with none requiring action to be taken at this time.
