ALABASTER — Russell Bedsole, candidate for Alabama State House of Representatives District 49, has received the endorsement of the Professional Fire Fighters Of Alabama(PFFA). This organization is dedicated to representing Alabama’s fire fighters.

“Russell Bedsole, a 22-year veteran of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, appreciates how hard our fire fighters work because he worked hand in hand with fire fighters every day,” says Jim Terrell, President of the Pelham Fire Fighters Association.  He added “Bedsole will be a strong advocate for our first responders when elected to the Alabama House of Representatives.”

Russell Bedsole said the following:

“I am very thankful and extremely humbled to receive the endorsement of the Professional Fire Fighters Of Alabama. This endorsement is particularly important to me because without our hardworking fire fighters and first responders we would be living in a much more unsafe world. I would like to thank all the first responders of Alabama especially for their courage, generosity and hard work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”

A runoff election for the District 49 seat will be held on September 1.

Bedsole has been elected twice by the citizens of Alabaster to represent Ward 5 on the Alabaster City Council. During his time of service, Alabaster has benefited from positive economic growth, a first-class school system, and a high quality of life. He has also received endorsements from the Shelby County Fraternal Order of Police, Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Alabama State Fraternal Order of Police and Conservation Alabama.
