Local First Responder Participate in University of Alabama’s Training Program on Opioid Addiction and Narcan Use

The Brent and Centreville Fire Departments along with a member of the Centreville Police who contributed information, joined a training program by the University of Alabama and the VitAL program. The University coordinated with the Centreville Fire Department. The training focused on opioid addiction and Narcan use, providing valuable information and statistics.  

Someone dies every 7 mins from a fentanyl overdose, and some are not from the actual users but inadvertent contact with the drug.

 Support from those who stepped in and contributed to the event were The Centreville Volunteer Fire Department, City Hall, and Police Department.
