Beware of Scam Calls in Bibb County

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about an ongoing scam where individuals are impersonating law enforcement officials. Scammers are spoofing the sheriff’s office phone number and falsely claiming to be from the office. They often call about missed jury duty, court dates, or outstanding warrants and demand payment.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds the community that they will never call you to ask for money or discuss jury duty. If you receive such a call, it is a scam. Please remain cautious and do not provide any personal or financial information over the phone.
