The Bibb County Education Retiree’s Association had their monthly meeting November 7th. Bibb County Probate Judge Stephanie Kemmer attended the meeting and declared November 14th as “Retired Teacher’s Day” to recognize public educators who have served long careers educating countless children through the years. Jill Jackson, Executive Director of the Alabama Education Retiree’s Association gave an update on upcoming legislation that will impact retired educators. Cynthia Peebles, District III Director also attended the meeting. A delicious brunch was provided by Chip and Mistie Burkes from Burkes Mechanical in honor of retirees.
