Brent-Centreville Library Hosts Fun-Filled Events for All Ages
By Savannah Logan
The Brent-Centreville Library continues to bring the community together with engaging events for all ages. Recently, the library hosted a Tasty Tales event, a quarterly gathering that combines storytelling with hands-on activities. Children enjoyed a reading of Cook-A-Doodle-Doo by Janet Stevens and Susan Crummel, followed by a treat inspired by the story — strawberry shortcake. As they listened, the kids and adults alike shared laughs and colored Valentine-themed sheets.
The library also welcomed adults for a creative gathering with its latest Adult Crafternoon. Participants had the opportunity to make a unique craft using paint, wood, and string, allowing them to unwind and express their artistic side, engaging in friendly chatting in the process.
Looking ahead, the Brent-Centreville Library has more events planned to keep the community engaged. On Tuesday, February 18, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., the Lego Club will offer children a chance to build and explore their creativity with Legos. Later in the month, on Thursday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m., Preschool Pals will provide a morning filled with music, movement, bubbles, and story time, designed especially for young children.
These events are open to all, making them a great opportunity to connect with others and enjoy the many resources the library has to offer. Be sure to mark your calendars and spread the word!
