In a Presidential election that saw a massive voter turnout in every State, Bibb County, Alabama Voters showed up at the polls to vote in record numbers for Donald J. Trump. The turnout is remarkable because there was only one contested local race on the ballot.

9,267 ballots were cast yesterday in Bibb,  from a potential registered voter database of 15,152 citizens. This means that 61% of eligible Bibb voters showed up to exercise their civic duty to cast a vote. 82% of the Bibb vote (7,563) were cast for Donald Trump with Kamala Harris garnering 17%.

In Statewide results Trump received 65% of Alabama votes. Bibb County’s 61% voter turnout was higher than the Statewide turnout of 58%. Total Ballots Cast: 2,256,402 Total Registered Voters: 3,868,043

In the contested race for Bibb County District Judge the incumbent Craig Cargile defeated Darold Matthews in all of the Bibb voting precincts, earning 69% of the votes.

The other candidates for public office in Bibb were unopposed and won their races. The re-elected included Circuit Judge Collins Pettaway, Circuit Clerk Kayla Cooner, Probate Judge Stephanie Kemmer, Coroner Patrick Turner, Commissioners Jeremy Glenn Lightsey, Rodney Stabler & Matt Downs, and Board of Education Elaine Jones & Mike McMillan.

Voting results from last night are unofficial until the vote is certified by election officials following the election.
