LEE S. THOMPSON, STATE FARM RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to State Farm agent Lee Thompson of Woodstock, AL, on his retirement after 33 years of dedicated service to our community and his customers. Lee has been a cornerstone of Woodstock, known for providing exemplary customer service. His philosophy was simple: he knew that customers could get insurance anywhere, so he consistently aimed for excellence, a principle that helped his agency grow significantly over the years.

In the early days of his agency, Lee built strong relationships by visiting potential clients in their homes, often staying for dinner—long before email and the internet existed. The Bibb County community embraced him warmly, and he always gave back, supporting and sponsoring local schools and sports programs. Lee took great pride in assisting his customers in times of need, fulfilling State Farm’s mission of helping people manage everyday risks, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.

Lee’s daughter, Jeana Lee Thompson Upton, has worked alongside him since August 2004. Over his career, Lee has earned numerous top honors within State Farm for his leadership, work ethic, and dedication, including 15 Legions of Honor, 8 Bronze Tablets, 2 Silver Scrolls, 1 Golden Triangle, and numerous Ambassador Travels.

Lee plans to enjoy his retirement traveling with his wife Lynn and spending quality time with their daughters, Jeana Lee and Charlotte, and their beloved granddaughter, Frances Louise Sizemore. He also looks forward to fishing, golfing, hunting, serving at Church Of The Highlands, in addition to spending time at the lake.

We invite you to meet your new agent, John Rich, who has been with State Farm for over 10 years and is well-equipped to take over Lee’s agency.

Best wishes to Lee Thompson on his retirement and immense gratitude for his 33 years of outstanding service to our community and State Farm.
