Mayor Bobbie White called the meeting to order at five o’clock. And led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Tom Owings led in prayer.

Request to address council:

George Henry with Yellow Hammer Digital Infrastructure addressed the council and provided a proposal for a right-of-way access for installation of fiberoptic lines either on APCO poles or underground where appropriate.

The proposal will be reviewed by the council and addressed at the next council meeting.

Other Business:

2024 Severe Weather Resolution (Feb. 23-25, 2024).

The City will incur an increase in the monthly bill for 911 services. This increase is due to mandatory 911 equipment upgrade. Council members expressed their appreciation for the excellent job our 911 staff does in assisting police and fire departments and helping keep these individuals safe.
