Sophomore Chris Billingsley Jr. got the nod in today’s game.and did not disappoint. He struck out 9 and gave up an infield hit in the top of the first. He would not surrender another hit the rest of the way.
The Choctaws pounded out 15 hits for the game with Matthew Cash and John Michael Downs with three hits a piece. Cade Horton went yard for the third consecutive game.
The Choctaws outscored their area opponents 76-5 and finished 6-0 in the area for their fifth consecutive area championship and their 18th area championship in the 2000″s. This will be the 25th straight season that the Choctaws have made the playoffs.
Bibb has won eight in a row and are 15-2 since beginning the season 1-3.
Bibb will host Munford in the first round of the playoffs on April 23 and 24. Game times TBA.
