Last night the Choctaws got back on the winning track with a 3-1 victory over 6a Chilton County. Steven Cash got the win going the distance giving up 4 hits while striking out 10. Matthew Cash collected two hits and scored two runs to led the Choctaws on offense. The Choctaws are now 17-7 on the season.
This game was Senior Night for the Choctaws. The Choctaws seniors are Bryan Fuller, Cade Horton , Cole McCarty, Jake Fondren , Baylor Hughey , and Koby Kornegay. These guys have helped our program to win four straight area championships. They have won 71 games so far in their four year careers. Congrats guys, now let’s finish this.
The Choctaws JV team also beat Chilton. The final score was 6-2. Blake Dailey picked up the win for the Choctaws. Dawson Shoults came in and picked up the save in the fifth inning. Shoults and Ty Burkes each had two hits for the Choctaws. Josh Partridge drove in three runs, Burkes had two rbis, and Will Alston drove in a run for Bibb. The JV improved to 9-3 on the season.
