Banners are going up around the town square this morning honoring our Hometown Heroes, veterans that have served our country. These banners will be put up annually for the Veterans Day Celebration, this year on November 11.
Main Street Chairman Ashton Cottingham said that this year 27 banners were ordered by family members of our local Veteran heroes. There are a few spots available for future banners for members of the public that want to honor their family members who served our country.
Our thanks go out to the Main Street organization for putting this together. The memorials are symbolic of the community support and appreciation that we all share for those who served our country in military service.
