Bibb Medical Center Heart Walk 2025: A Step Toward a Healthier Community

By Savannah Logan

Bibb Medical Center is inviting the community to come together for Heart Walk 2025, an event dedicated to raising awareness about heart health and honoring survivors. The walk is scheduled for February 7th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Bibb Medical Center Walking Track, located at 285 Hospital Drive in Centreville.

The Heart Walk aligns with National Wear Red Day, a nationwide initiative to highlight the importance of cardiovascular health. Participants are encouraged to wear red as a show of support and solidarity.

The event will begin with a special Survivors Lap at 11:00 AM, where survivors of heart disease will lead the way in a celebration of their strength and resilience. Prizes will be awarded, including a $100 Wagner’s gift card for the individual who walks the farthest distance and a team trophy for the group that tracks the most distance. There’s no limit to how many people can join a team, making it a perfect opportunity to rally friends, family, and coworkers to support a great cause.

In addition to the walk, attendees will have the chance to learn CPR skills, check their blood pressure, and gather heart-healthy tips. Registration is simple and can be completed on Bibb Medical Center’s website. Participants can join an existing team, create their own, or email bibbwellness@gmail.com if their team isn’t listed. During registration, individuals can note if they are walking to honor someone or participating as a survivor in the Survivors Lap.

Heart Walk T-shirts are available for $10 and can be picked up the day before the event. Donations are also welcome, with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association to support research, education, and programs promoting cardiovascular health.

This event reflects Bibb Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to improving the health and wellness of the community. By participating in Heart Walk 2025, individuals can make a meaningful difference, whether they are walking to honor a loved one, celebrating their own journey, or simply standing up for heart health. Every step taken helps create a healthier future for everyone.
