What’s More Fun Than a Competition? Especially When Money is Involved!
Centreville Main Street is bringing excitement to town with the Bright Ideas competition, a unique opportunity for local businesses to win a share of $10,000 in grant funding! Designed to help businesses grow and thrive, this competition invites all eligible enterprises within the Centreville Main Street Reporting District and the Historic District to participate.
What’s at stake? Six grants will be awarded: one grand prize of $2,500 and five additional prizes of $1,500 each. Imagine what your business could achieve with a financial boost—whether it’s upgrading equipment, expanding services, or launching innovative new projects! Because it is a Main Street Alabama grant, only businesses in our reporting district are eligible at this time.
Bright Ideas is a cutting-edge program powered by AL SPARK, a Main Street Alabama initiative aimed at energizing small businesses across the state. With nearly $400,000 in total funding available, this program promises to empower businesses in Designated Main Street Alabama Districts. Backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Bright Ideas is more than just a grant program; it’s a chance to turn creative ideas into reality.
A little competition brings out the best in everyone—and with cash prizes on the line, there’s no better time to dream big and pitch your ideas. Whether you’re an established business or a growing startup, this is your moment to shine and contribute to Centreville’s vibrant Main Street community.
So, sharpen your pitch, polish your proposal, and get ready to compete! Who knows? Your business might just walk away with the top prize.
The deadline to submit your application is Monday, January 27, 2025. Winners will be announced by January 31, 2025, following review by the Centreville Main Street Board of Directors and a selected panel of judges.
