Bibb Medical Center opened its doors to 10th-12th grade students from Bibb County High School, West Blocton High School, and Cahaba Christian Academy for an exciting Career Fair aimed at exploring healthcare and local industry careers.
The fair was held at BMC Wellness Center and packed with informative sessions where students got a firsthand look at the various roles essential to hospital operations. Representatives from departments like nursing, physical therapy, nutrition, IT, environmental services, maintenance, fire and rescue, shared insights about their careers, giving students a well-rounded view of the many professions within healthcare. The hands-on activities really got the students excited and engaged.
In addition, Burkes Mechanical, Shelton State Community College and the University of Montevallo joined the event to introduce students to their career opportunities and nursing programs, providing valuable information for those interested in pursuing employment and education locally. BMC also provided students with information on scholarship opportunities they offer. The collaboration of BMC staff and volunteers made this event both engaging and successful, as students left with a greater understanding of healthcare career options in their community.
Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers and professionals who contributed to this impactful event!
