Autism Support Group Easter Egg Hunt

By Ryan Thompson

On Saturday, March 16 2024, The Autism Support Group held an Easter Egg Hunt for kids and adults with their families on the Autism Spectrum. The event was organized by Ms. Kaye Culp.

Participants enjoyed Ms. April McMillan reading a story followed by the kids enjoying the Bunny Hop dance. Ryan Thompson provided a bunny coloring activity with the kids. Everyone participating in the Egg Hunt enjoyed searching for all the colorful prized filled eggs. The Eggs were donated and filled with toys, special notes, stickers, prizes and most of lots of candy.

After the egg hunt everyone enjoyed snacks and fellowship. This event would not have been possible without the donations of our amazing sponsors. Centreville Baptist Church for allowing usage to use their facility, Cynthia Winegard, Kelley Stringfellow and students from Brent Elementary School, Dr. Ernie Cutts, Huddle House of Centreville AL, and Fulton Prevost (Facebook page Centreville My Hometown) for taking the event’s photographs.

Autism Support Group will have monthly meetings with a guest speaker and activities for the kids each month. The month of April the meeting will be held April 20th at Family Connections building from 11am -12pm.
