Relay For Life Tree lighting ceremony was held Friday December 1st. Due to the possible threat of inclement weather the event was moved inside to Brent Bible Methodist Church.  The Christmas tree filled with names of those who battled cancer both in honor and in memory.

Santa Claus arrived from the north pole and was available for those who wished to tell their Christmas wishes to.  Santa’s helper Gabby Deas captured the moments. for the kids visiting Santa Claus.

The kids enjoyed coloring, making reindeer food and writing letters to Santa Claus.

Centreville Study Club served delicious cookies and yummy hot chocolate to those in attendance.

We are very grateful for Mr. Fulton Prevost who captured our event and shared his sweet photos on his Facebook page Centreville My Hometown.

Jason Elam led the prayer and sang a song for the crowd. Tami Prather played the piano throughout the ceremony. Gerrica Evans assisted the children in making reindeer food for them to sprinkle outside on Christmas Eve so Rudolph and the other reindeer could have a snack while Santa enjoys milks and cookies delivering gifts. Vonda Thompson and Glenda Evans helped the children with Santa Letters and the coloring table.

“This event would not have been possible without Mrs. Cynthia Winegard and Brent Bible Methodist Church for opening their hearts and doors for Relay for Life of Bibb County,” said Bibb County event lead Ryan Thompson. “We are excited to announce the Miss Relay for Life Pageant will be held Saturday March 2nd. The Relay for Life event is planned for Saturday May 4th. We are planning an amazing 2024 event.”
