The second annual Fall Farm Day at Tabernacle Farm was an outstanding success, with over 80 vendors, including 13 food vendors, reporting incredible sales and over 3,000 people in attendance throughout the day. This beloved event brought together friends, family, and members of the community, all while contributing to a great cause.

Martha Culp, one of the vendors at the event, summed it up perfectly, saying, “It was a great family event. Very successful for all the animals at Sandy Wayne and great fun for everyone! Can’t wait for next year!”

Another vendor, Carolyn Donner, shared her enthusiasm, declaring, “Tabernacle Fall Farm Day was the absolute best thing that has happened to Bibb County. I was a vendor there. I saw friends seeing friends and family they haven’t seen in a while. Kids were having such a good time. They had everything anyone needed or wanted. Food, clean environment, singing, games. But most of all it helped a great cause, SANDY WAYNE Sanctuary. Cynthia did an amazing job of getting it together and advertising. I’m sure next year will be even better. Thank you Tabernacle Farm, I appreciate everything you did for everyone.”

Kimberly Baggett, another vendor, was equally thrilled, calling the event a “HUGE success” and praising the excellent vendors, delicious food, great music, and the beautiful weather that made it a “fabulously, fun-filled day for the Brent community.”

Cindy Smitherman, an attendee, gave a special shoutout to Cynthia Cash Winegard and her husband for their hard work in making the day a reality. She expressed her delight, stating, “I had a wonderful time… A lot of vendors, food, and several things for the kids. Thank you Tabernacle Farm for giving us such a fun day right here in Brent! Hope to see this come back next year!!!”

Franced Hamric, who was among the early birds at the event, praised the planning and execution, noting that the crowd was larger and the variety of vendors was excellent. She commended the event organizers for providing the community with a fun day and running a quality business.

The event featured a range of entertainment, including Jason Elam singing the National Anthem, the Endless Hallelujah West Blocton First Baptist Church praise team, and country singer Taylor Bagi with Pat Rance. The Brent Fire Department and Brent Police Department also provided crucial support, with volunteers helping with parking and traffic control.

Sandy Wayne Sanctuary, the primary beneficiary of the event, raised about $3,000. The funds will be used to purchase a much-needed wheelchair for one of the dogs and start renovations on the Sanctuary building.

Volunteers like Randy Crocker, Paula Cook, and five Bibb Belles played a significant role in making the event a success.

Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter brought their adoption bus, and all 10 dogs on board found loving homes. This heartwarming outcome added to the overall success of Fall Farm Day.

The event would not have been possible without the support of sponsors, including Burke Mechanical, Buffalo Rock, Bintelli Golf Carts, Derek Moody Home Center, Dixie Decorations, G & H Building Supply, Dr. Lata Patil, April Weaver, Bibb County Commission, Bibb Medical Center, and the various vendors.

Cynthia Winegard, the driving force behind the event, expressed her gratitude to her family and the community, emphasizing that the event’s success wouldn’t have been possible without their support. “Another group that has to be publicly thanked is my family.  My sister Sylvia White and her husband Richard, and my brother Kenneth Cash worked tirelessly behind the scenes for weeks leading up to the event.  At the event if you went by the bouncy house you saw my daughter Starr Deas or my daughter in law Ali Garner & grandson Noah. Over at the pumpkin patch you saw my granddaughter Gracie with her boyfriend Gauge. If you rode the hayride, the driver would be my husband Jerry. Most of all I want to thank the community for coming out to support Sandy Wayne. All of this would be nothing without you coming out to support the craft vendors and the food vendors!”

She also encouraged everyone to mark their calendars for next year’s event, which will take place on the 2nd Saturday in October (the 12th), promising even more fun and community support!
