The Centreville Press hosted a candidate forum for the candidates involved in the runoff election for Bibb County Superintendent of Education on June 13, 2022 at the press office. The candidates seeking the Republican spot for the November general election are the incumbent, Duane McGee and challenger Kevin Cotner. Both candidates were invited to attend the interview and only McGee participated.
The candidate interview covered a range of current topics including school safety, school finance, construction projects, student literacy, testing performance, teacher recruitment issues, student resources, at risk students, intervention strategies, and social media.
