Bibb County Department of Human Resources Parking Lot Scene of Incident

A case worker for the Bibb County Department of Human Resources was seriously injured today between noon and 01:00 p.m. when she was intentionally struck by a motor vehicle allegedly driven by an angry client. The vehicle assault was described as intentional and not an accident.

The alleged assailant was on the premises after DHR workers removed family members from a home where abuse had been reported. The DHR worker, Tracy Eubanks, was walking along the sidewalk when the perpetrator intentionally drove his vehicle onto the side walk and ran over Mrs. Eubanks, then reversed and backed over her again. Witnesses said he was attempting to run over her for the third time when a Centreville Police Officer fired a weapon into his vehicle and he stopped and surrendered.

The assailant was taken into custody by police.

Tracy Eubanks, a Bibb County DHR worker, was airlifted from Bibb County to UAB. Her injuries are serious but the extent has not been reported to sources at this time. Prayers are requested from the community for Tracy.
