Coach Bobby Terry reported this afternoon that the BCHS Choctaws have finished the State 4A Region 3 Track & Field Outdoor meet as Region 3 boys champions and girls runner – up.
In girls events:
Shamya Brown placed 1st in the 100M dash, with Kelcie Hobson coming in 6th place. Ariel Turner placed 1st and Shamya Brown 4th in the 200M and Ariel came in 2nd in the 400M.
UPDATE: West Blocton High School Megan McCoy will advance to the State fInals according to WBHS Coach Jeff Clark.
Bibb women finished 5th in the 4x400M Relay and 2nd in the 4×100 Relay.

Coach Terry said “The boys and girls worked incredibly hard throughout the season and their hard work was shown the last couple of days. The boys team won the sectional meet held in Winfield with a score of 205 points. The girls fought hard and achieved runner up with a score of 132 points with only 8 girls competing! Coaches Bobby Terry, Philip Peek and Nick Belvin are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication realized by the boys and girls track team at Bibb County High School. ”
