Last night the Choctaws advanced to the second round of the state playoffs by sweeping the Munford Lions 3-0 and 14-1.
In game one, Steven Cash limited the Lions to two hits and struck out ten. Chris Billingsley Jr. did the damage with a 3 run moon shot in the bottom of the fourth inning to drive in all the runs for the Choctaws. Jake Fondren led all hitters with two hits while Billingsley, Matthew Cash,  and Cade Horton added a hit each.
Billingsley Jr got the nod in Game 2 for the Choctaws. He also would hold the Lions to just two hits and struck out 4.
Bo Burkes led the Choctaws at the plate with two hits. Those two hits both came in the third inning when Burkes hit two no doubt homeruns in the same inning. The first being a solo shot, the second one being a grand slam. Burkes drove in six runs in the game.
Jake Fondren also went yard for the Choctaws. Matthew Cash drove in three runs and Horton drove in two more to help the Choctaws secure the series.
Bibb is now 21-7 and will await the winner of the W.S. Neal and Dale County winner. The Choctaws will have to travel next week to whomever wins this series.
