The Bibb County Chamber of Commerce sponsored an event on December 1, 2020 held at The Oaks. Elected officials from all county government and municipalities were invited to attend, network, and speak about happenings and plans for the coming fiscal year.
Chamber Director Valerie Cook hosted the event and did a good job of introducing and inspiring speakers and moving the event along. Some previously unannounced good news came out from the forum speakers and all who attended enjoyed the event and asked that it happen on an annual basis.
Speakers included Chamber President Joseph Marchant, Mayor Mike Oakley of Centreville, Mayor Bobbie White of Brent, County Administrator Derek Reeves, Councilman Holly Barnett of West Blocton, School Superintendent Duane McGee and House District 49 Representative Russell Bedsole.
