Word came just after noon today, March 30, that Bibb County had our first confirmed case of the virus. According to County EMA Director Kirk Smith, this is not unexpected, and will likely not be the only case we see. He asks everyone to stay safe and mindful of it, staying home whenever possible. He also asks for people to not spread social media rumors, which often cause problems for people not involved with the situation. He does hope that whoever has tested positive informs family and friends so that they may take extra precautions.
