“We are in the Atlanta region here in Birmingham, and this is the second test phase,” said Jason Black, a Birmingham-area McDonald’s franchisee. “I fully expect this to go really well, and it will roll out nationally at some point toward the end of the year”, according to Black, who operates the McDonald’s restaurant in Centreville plus with other Alabama McDonald’s locations.
The Centreville location began serving the new tenders last week. “All of my restaurants have been selling out of their allotment each day, so that’s a good thing,” said Black.
The tenders are a buttermilk crispy chicken recipe introduced by McDonald’s in 2015 with their buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich.
