This talk will look at many of the lesser know facts regarding early pioneer development of AL. It covers the 1818-1860 roads, taverns and hazards of stagecoach travel. The talk also examines the early steamboat and river landings and goes into detail on some of the riverboat tragedies of this time. Early pioneer cabin and plantation life is examined. Stories told of some of the lost treasures and hauntings of several AL plantations. There will be antebellum artifacts and relics on display.
