Bibb County Volunteer Fire Departments were presented with Honor Flags by Clanton Chapter 322 Oak Lodge of WoodmenLife at a flag raising ceremony Thursday at the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce. WoodmenLife donated a flagpole to the Chamber of Commerce and the Clanton Chapter presented flags to the Chamber and Honor Flags to the Volunteer Fire Departments in remembrance of the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001 and the first responders and heroes who perished in the terrorist attack. Ashley Pruitt, Community Outreach Manager for WoodmenLife,  quoted former President Abraham Lincoln when he said “Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure.” The Honor Flags were presented to representatives of the Bibb County Volunteer Fire Departments by Chamber President Jerry Levert and a representative of the Clanton Chapter 322 Oak Lodge of WoodmenLife. Oak Lodge was represented by Maurine & James Deloach and Vivian Johnson.
