Authorities searching for escaped Bibb Co. inmate

Update:  Bibb County Inmate was found hiding inside the prison according to the Bibb County Sheriff Facebook Page at around 5:17 am CST on Monday.

BIBB COUNTY, AL (WBRC) – Bibb County authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped overnight from custody.

Timothy Wayne Johnson escaped from the Bibb County Correctional Facility around 1:36 a.m., according to a news release from the Alabama Department of Corrections.

He is a 32-year-old white man with blond/strawberry blond hair and blue eyes, standing 5-feet, 2-inches tall. He weighs 125-pounds.

He was last seen wearing state-issued white clothing.

Johnson is serving a sentence for first-degree criminal mischief.
