April Weaver, Chairman of the Bibb County GOP announced this week that the local party will hold their annual banquet on May 9, 2026. The event will be held at the Bibb Wellness Center, with a candidate Meet & Greet beginning at 7:00 p.m. Event tickets are now available to the interested public.
Many of the candidates for State & Local offices will be on hand for the event and the Meet & Greet gives local an opportunity to meet and discuss political plans for the upcoming election. The Republican Primary will be held statewide on May 19, 2026.
The Keynote Speaker for this year’s event will be Greg Reed, former legislator and presently Secretary for Workforce Development.
Tickets are available from Banquet Planning Committee members, April Weaver, Dale Ellinghausen, Mike Hobson, Angie Langston, Valerie Cook, Ty Corbell, Pat Clark, Mike Oakley and Stephanie Kemmer.
