Bibb County GOP Announces 2026 Election Information

Bibb County GOP Chairman April Weaver announced Friday that local qualifying for the Republican Primary and open Bibb County elected positions will begin on January 5, 2026. Qualifying dates will match those announced by the Alabama GOP. Qualifying will begin at 8:30 a.m. and remain open through Friday, January 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Local races for Bibb County are as follows:
- Bibb County Sheriff
- Bibb County Tax Assessor/Collector
- Bibb County Board of Education Superintendent
- Board of Education- Place 1 – (Incumbent Morris Moody)
- Bibb County Commissioners District 2 & 4 – (Incumbents Charles Caddell and Ty Corbell)
Key dates for the 2026 election cycle include:
- ALGOP Primary Election: Tuesday, May 19, 2026
- ALGOP Primary Runoff Election: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
- General Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026
