PARA to Host Annual Veterans Day Ceremony Honoring Service and Sacrifice
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — November 07, 2025 — The Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority (PARA), along with The Veterans Memorial Park Association, Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, and The University of Alabama Office of Veteran and Military Affairs will host the annual Tuscaloosa Veterans Day Ceremony honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park (1701 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa) beginning at 10:00 a.m.
This year’s ceremony will feature Brian C. Davis, Chief Executive Officer of PARA and a proud U.S. Army veteran, as the keynote speaker.
“Veterans Day is a moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of those who have served our nation,” said Davis. “It’s a privilege to celebrate their stories and remind our community of the values they defend every day.”
The program will include a flag presentation by a local honor guard, the national anthem, various speakers, and the armed forces medley to honor all of those who have served.
PARA invites veterans, service members, families, and community members to attend this meaningful tribute. Chairs will be provided.
Parking is at the University Mall. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move inside the University Mall. Any venue changes will be announced by 8:30 a.m. on PARA’s social media channels.
