Residents of Montevallo and surrounding communities in Shelby, Bibb, and Chilton counties are invited to take part in two important upcoming housing conversations. These events are part of an ongoing effort to explore and improve housing conditions in the Tri-County area, with a focus on ensuring housing remains affordable, available, and accessible to all.

The conversations are being hosted by Herman F. Lehman, III, MBA, MSEM, PCED of Keys to the City Community Coaching, LLC, in collaboration with the David Mathews Center for Civic Life.

“We’re working with the David Mathews Center to explore the current and future state of housing in the Bibb-Chilton-Shelby area,” Lehman said. “To that end, we’ve scheduled two upcoming housing conversations in Montevallo and Shelby County and are working to confirm a third in Jemison, located in Chilton County.”

Everyone is invited to join in one of these critical community conversations on housing in Montevallo and the surrounding counties of Bibb, Chilton, and Shelby.

In earlier conversations, community members helped identify key housing-related needs and resources across the Tri-County Area. Now, they are coming back together to talk about what actions they can take – and to continue deepening their understanding of housing challenges in our communities.

I hope you will be able to attend. Your voice and unique insights are vital.
