State Representative Russell Bedsole has recently awarded grants to two vital institutions in the town of Woodstock, continuing his commitment to supporting public safety and community enrichment across his district.

Woodstock Elementary School announced that it has received funding from Rep. Bedsole to support enhanced school safety initiatives. In a statement shared on the school’s official Facebook page, administrators expressed plans to use the funds to install bulletproof tint on the doors and windows throughout the school. The measure is intended to further safeguard students and staff while strengthening the school’s overall safety strategy.

“We are very excited to receive funds from Russell Bedsole for Woodstock Elementary School,” the school’s statement read. “We are thankful for the generosity and the help needed to implement our safety plans to help keep our school environment safe.”

In a separate development, the Woodstock Community Library has been awarded a $3,000 grant from Rep. Bedsole to support library operations and improve access to essential resources. According to a press release from the Town of Woodstock, the funds will go toward updating the library’s collection, enhancing print services, and contributing to the library’s building fund.

Mayor Jeff Dodson expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly grateful to Rep. Bedsole for this grant. Though we may not have the same resources as larger libraries, the Woodstock Community Library is a vital part of our town. This funding will allow us to continue offering the services our residents rely on, and we appreciate the recognition of how important this library is to our community.”

These recent contributions highlight Rep. Bedsole’s ongoing efforts to invest in the safety, education, and well-being of the communities he represents.
