The Bibb County Education Retiree’s Association held their April meeting at the West Blocton Library. Michelle Giddens, Bibb County Extension Director, presented a very informative program on Cooking Healthy for Seniors. For the monthly service project club members brought items for the Woman at the Well Ministry through DHR. Club members also put together treat bags to be delivered to new teachers in the district as a part of the new teacher mentoring program. Club members in attendance were: Suzanne Jones, Barbara Smith, Elaine Jones, Sara Lunsford, Kay Lightsey, Judy Elliott, Fran Kornegay, Donna Cook, Vickie Brown and Michelle Giddens from the Bibb Extension Office.
