Special to the Press

The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) has launched a new and improved mobile app called ConnectEBT for SNAP and TANF clients. The app offers a safer and easier way to manage EBT accounts.

With ConnectEBT, users can: Check their SNAP balance in real-time, view all EBT transactions, request a replacement EBT card, change their PIN and find answers to common questions

DHR is also working with its EBT provider to add even more features to help prevent fraud and protect clients’ benefits. “This new app is part of our effort to improve security and reduce fraud,” said DHR Commissioner Nancy Buckner. “Our goal is to make sure families can continue to get the food they need without disruptions.”

ConnectEBT is the only official app for Alabama SNAP and TANF clients. It’s available now for both iPhone and Android users.
