Bibb County officials gathered at Woodstock City Hall this afternoon to announce a new industrial business that is opening in the Scott Davis Industrial Park.

After a welcome from Mayor Jeff Dodson Probate Judge Stephanie Kemmer introduced County Commission Members, Jeremy Lightsey, Ty Corbell, & Charles Caddell. Kemmer, along with Representative Russell Bedsole, Senator April Weaver, Chamber of Commerce Director Bryan Hilson, and West Alabama Works Director Donny Jones delivered personal remarks to welcome the new industry.

Rado Mechanical Group was represented by Russell Carlisle. Rado Mechanical is ready to open in the Scott Davis Industrial Park and to invest in the local economy. They are expected to employ at least 50 people and are ready to accept applications from welders, electricians, fitters and other skilled industrial workers. The new facility is situated on a 22 acre site and will encompass a 20,000 SF existing building.

“The arrival of Rado Mechanical Group is a major win for Woodstock and Bibb County, said Ty Corbell. This project represents new job opportunities, economic expansion and a strengthened industrial base for Bibb.”

The new company is already working with local officials and workforce development programs to ensure a smooth hiring process and long term success in the region.

Other parties represented and participating in this project included the Bibb County Career Academy, Bibb County Schools, West Alabama Works, Alabama Power Company, Birmingham Business Alliance and other key partners.
