DEA and Alabama Extension Host Take Back Day
Drug overdoses are a serious threat to public health, safety, and national security in the United States. The DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day shows their dedication to keeping Americans safe by encouraging people to clean out their medicine cabinets and safely get rid of medications they no longer need. This helps prevent drug misuse and opioid addiction before they start.
The DEA is focused on making our communities safer and healthier by working to lower the number of overdoses and deaths. While community members help by turning in unneeded medications, the DEA continues efforts to reduce drug-related crime and violence.
On Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal. Drop-off Locations:
- Bibb County Sheriff’s Office – 157 SW Davidson Drive, Centreville, AL
- Woodstock Police Department – 28513 AL-5, Woodstock, AL
Help keep our community safe!
