Being a mom is a wild ride—full of chaos, joy, confusion, and countless unforgettable moments. For this mom, life has been all of that and more! She is not just family but also one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. Her heart is as big as her love for her children, and she would do anything for them.
Not everyone gets to see the incredible woman that Breana Burt truly is, but today, let’s take a moment to learn a little more about her through these heartfelt answers she’s shared.
What’s your secret to balancing work, family, and still having time for fun? Honestly, it’s all about priorities and a little bit of chaos management. I make sure to give my best at work, but when it’s family time, I’m all in! Whether it’s cheering my kids on, planning something fun, or just enjoying the little moments. And I don’t take life too seriously! If that means staying up late for a movie night or having a spontaneous adventure, so be it. Balance isn’t perfect but making time for fun keeps everything worth it!
If your family had a reality TV show, what would it be called, and what would the theme song be? That’s a good one. I would say if we had a reality TV show it would be called “Fussin, Fortnite & FaceTime” that literally sums it up! It captures the nonstop noise, sibling drama and tech obsessed lifestyle that happens under our roof! As far as the theme song, I’d say we would just go with the Dial Up Internet Sound, because my daughter is always on the phone and my son would lose his mind if the Wi-Fi lagged during Fortnite!
What’s your go-to “mom hack” that every parent should know? My personal favorite would be the “batching” hack. I always feel overwhelmed, so I’ll do everything in one day. Errands, laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. so I only have to focus on it once. It frees up more time!
If you could trade places with one of your kids for a day, what would you do first? I would stare at the fridge in terror and ask, “What’s for dinner?!” LOL
What’s the most creative or hilarious excuse your kids have ever given you to get out of chores or schoolwork? “School work? I was going to do it, but my brain needed a mental health day” -Jessalyn
If your life as a mom had a slogan, what would it be? “Mom Life: Expecting the Best, Preparing for the Mess”
What first got you into the manufactured homes business, and what do you love most about it? I was scrolling facebook and came across a “Now Hiring” post for Clayton Homes. I knew immediately that I wanted this position. What I love the most about it is the personal connection I build with my clients. I enjoy seeing them excited about their new home, knowing that I’ve played a part in making it possible. The industry is also constantly evolving, and I love being able to offer innovative solutions that meet the needs of today’s homebuyers.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about manufactured homes? A common misconception that I hear a lot would be that manufactured homes are not as durable as traditional site-built homes. When in reality they are built to strict safety and quality standards set by HUD. They ARE just as strong, safe and long-lasting as any other home when properly maintained. Manufactured homes offer excellent value and modern features!
If you had to pitch a manufactured home to someone in just three words, what would they be? Quality, Value and Comfort
What’s the most unique or creative manufactured home feature you’ve ever sold? So far, I would say the most unique home I’ve sold would be a custom designed, with an open floor plan and a modern farmhouse style. It had a beautiful spacious kitchen with a large island, lots of natural light and a stunning wrap-around porch that felt like the perfect blend of cozy and luxurious.
What advice would you give to a first-time homebuyer considering a manufactured home? Choose Clayton Homes in Centreville! LOL but on a serious note do your research and understand the benefits. Get pre-approved for a mortgage and get a clear picture of what you can afford. Have peace of mind knowing you’re investing in a home that is built to last. Finally, work with a trusted professional to guide you through the process and ensure you’re making a solid investment for your future.
How do you make the home-buying process fun and exciting for your clients? It’s all about creating an experience that feels special, stress-free, and personal. We also celebrate the win! On closing day, we make it exciting and at the Welcome Home we bring a gift personalized just for them to place in their new home.
If you could design your own dream manufactured home, what fun features would you include? I’d go all out with fun! I would have the ultimate kitchen with a huge island and a built-in beverage fridge, a hidden walk-in pantry for extra storage, tons of cabinets, a pot filler above the stove…. and pendant lights of course!! In the primary bathroom I would have a walk-in shower with a rainfall head, a gorgeous garden tub and a built-in vanity. My bedroom would have a huge walk-in closet with built-in organizers, and a bright sunroom attached. To top it all off, I’d add a wrap-around porch with a fireplace, perfect spot to relax!
If you could compare selling manufactured homes to parenting, what’s the biggest similarity? They both require patience and guidance. Just like parenting, selling homes means helping people through big decisions, managing emotions, and problem solving. Buyers, like kids, often change their minds, ask tons of questions, and sometimes don’t realize what is best for them until we guide them there.
Do your kids ever give you “sales tips” or try to negotiate things with you like a customer? Oh, absolutely! My kids could probably outsell me some days! They have mastered the art of negotiation and use it against me daily. “But moooom, you’re my favorite person in the world. Don’t you want me to be happy?” — (That’s Jessalyn playing dirty with the guilt trip) or “If you buy me this game, I’ll clean my room and take out the trash.”– (That’s Jaythan… and the trash still hasn’t been taken out)
If you could create a kid-proof manufactured home, what must-have features would it need? Mine are a little older now, but a few years ago I would have said all the essentials to survive spills and mess. Today, I’d say a self-filling snack drawer, a toilet that flushes automatically, and an alarm that sounds when clothes are left on the floor.
