On Thursday, March 20th, the Bibb County Career Academy hosted the Chamber Coffee, with around 40 people in attendance. Brian Hilson, Executive Director for the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Authority opened the meeting with welcome and announcements. March is Career Tech Month, and BCCA offers nine programs in various fields, including Agriculture, Automotive, Commerce & Technology, Co-Op, Cosmetology, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Welding.

This year, the HOSA program moved to a new location near the Bibb Medical Center Facility. Students enrolled in these programs gain hands-on experience and can use these skills to launch careers after graduation.

Allen Franklin, Director of BCCA, thanked his staff for their role in the academy’s success and expressed gratitude to the schools and the Board of Education for their continued support in preparing students for the future.
