Treasure Forest to Feature Jace McCauley as Speaker for this Month’s Meeting

On March 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at the Brent-Centreville Library a special presentation on tree improvement by forester and forest geneticist Jace McCauley will discuss the history and ongoing efforts to enhance pine genetics in Alabama. Jace is a tree improvement specialist (involved with tree genetics. Jace is the Forest Improvement Analyst for a large west Alabama forest industry. In his role, he assists with pine seed collection, tree measurement and selection, and tree pollinating strategies. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn University focusing on landowner engagement and consulting forester usage, hosting podcasts and videos aimed to help landowners apply forest management to their property.
