On Wednesday, March 5th, the BMC Wellness Center celebrated Read Across America with a fun-filled event for kids. The day featured delicious cupcakes, creative crafts, and a special visit from the beloved Cat in the Hat!

This year’s theme, “Create & Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers,” encourages a love for reading in people of all ages. Read Across America, observed both as a day and a week-long event, is often linked to Dr. Seuss, whose birthday falls around the same time. Schools and communities nationwide take part by organizing book drives, author visits, dress-up days, and other exciting activities to make reading fun.

There were 25-30 kids who participated in this great event. Thanks to all those who put together this project.

The goal of Read Across America is simple—to inspire a lifelong love of books and literacy for everyone!
