Brent-Centreville Public Library Hosts Preschool Pals Story Time
By Savannah Logan
The words of Dr. Seuss have brought both learning and joy for generations – and this past Wednesday at the Brent-Centreville Public Library the tradition continued as littles learned and giggled about the shenanigans of The Cat in the Hat.
Starting off with a Dr. Seuss themed dance time, the kids were able to get their wiggles out before gathering around The Lorax themed mural dedicated to Diane Gaither to hear a reading of one of Seuss’s most memorable tales.
Next on the fun agenda included a hand painting activity, where the kids got to create their very own Thing 1 and Thing 2, using red and blue paints and their own handprints. Last but not least, no Preschool Pal Story Time would be complete without a very important activity – bubbles!
March will feature many fun events for kids at the library, including a Play-Doh Playdate on Thursday, March 13 at 10 a.m., as well as Lego Club on Tuesday, March 18 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Last but not least, the next Preschool Pals Story Time will be held on March 27 at 10 a.m. You can find these as well as other upcoming events on the library’s online calendar at www.brentcentlib.com.
Be sure to take advantage of all that your local library has to offer! Preschool Pals Story Time brings the joy of reading to life, reminding little ones of Dr. Seuss’ wise words: “You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book!”
