West Alabama Mayors Association Meets at BMC Wellness

Mayor Mike Oakley hosted a luncheon for the West Alabama Mayors Association at the BMC Wellness Center on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The event opened with a welcome and invocation led by Mayor Oakley, followed by reports from attending officials.
Ken McRae of Legal Shield provided a presentation on the services offered through their Montgomery-based business. Legal Shield, an app-based company, provides various legal services, including identity theft protection and assistance with living wills.
The keynote speaker for the event was Brian Hilson, Director of the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development. Hilson addressed the economic outlook for Bibb County, emphasizing plans for business expansion and community development.
To conclude the meeting, Mayor Bobbie White read a heartfelt poem in memory of the late Mayor Jimmy Madison, who recently passed away. The gathering ended with a luncheon, allowing attendees to network and discuss future initiatives.
