Whitney Buzbee: Juggling Life, Love, and and Family!
by Sheila Duncan
This week, I’m excited to introduce someone very special to me—my daughter and friend, Whitney Buzbee. She wears many hats as a full-time mom and wife, homeschools two of her children, cares for little ones for friends, and serves as the advertisement representative for the Centreville Press. I have asked Whitney some question so we could all get to know her on a personal level, let’s see what she had to say.
Tell us about you and your family: My name is Whitney Buzbee. I am married to Stanley Buzbee and we have three children; Mackenzie, Kayden and Braylin. We live in Pondville, where I have lived my entire life, I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. We have one dog named Sharky and an overwhelming amount of cats, if anyone needs one give me a call. I am the Advertising manager for the Centreville, I do this from home because I also babysit during the week for a few of my friends.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day juggling work and family? I like to sit on the couch with a fluffy blanket and read a good book.
Can you share a creative ad idea you’re particularly proud of? I am very proud of our Community Connect Magazine. I love the thought of showcases different people in our community and everyone sort of getting to know them.
If your family could take a dream vacation, where would you go? If it were up to me, we would go to Italy but I’m sure Stanley would have a different opinion.
What’s your go-to meal when you need something quick and satisfying? Honestly, probably a bowl of cereal
How do you keep your family organized and on schedule? HA HA I wouldn’t call us organized but, I do try to make sure everyone is up and going when they are supposed to be.
What’s one thing about being an ad rep that people might find surprising? I don’t necessarily want to have to ask you to buy an ad or to spend your money but, it is my job and it’s how the press stays alive.
Do you have a funny or memorable moment from a day in the life of your family? I have a lot of funny and memorable moments, so it is hard to pinpoint just one. With three kids and a husband that acts like a kid I promise you it is never boring!
What’s a hobby or activity you love to do with your kids? I love going to church with my family. It is such a personal and humbling thing to sit in the presence of God with your children.
How do you balance being a wife, mom, and professional all at once? I pray…. A LOT!
What’s your favorite way to celebrate family milestones or successes? I don’t think I really have a favorite way. I think it depends on whose milestone or success it is. I want to celebrate in whatever way would make that person happiest.
“Exploring your community allows you to uncover its hidden gems and forge meaningful connections with your neighbors.” Thank you, Brandon Stabler, for taking the time to answer our questions so that we may get to know you and your family on a more personal level.
