The Bibb County Education Retiree’s Association had their November meeting at the Brent/ Centreville Library. Bibb County’s Probate Judge Stephanie Kemmer attended the meeting and issued a proclamation declaring November 14th “Retired Educator Day” in Bibb County. Jill Jackson, Executive Director of The Alabama Education Retiree’s Association gave an update on state legislation and issues impacting retirees. Club members brought canned goods for Thanksgiving for the West Blocton Baptist Church food pantry for their service project. Club members who attended were: JoAnn Medders, Suzanne Jones, Stephanie Kemmer Bibb County Probate Judge, Sarah Lunsford, Donna Cook, Jill Jackson, Executive Director Alabama ERA, Julia Sosbee, Mary Beth Sansing, Kay Lightsey, Judy Elliott, Avis Huey, Vickie Brown, Linda Burkes, Linda Cottingham. Members enjoyed a delicious brunch in their honor provided by Chip and Mistie Burkes and Burkes Mechanical.
