Town of Woodstock Invites Local Groups to Celebrate “Small Town Christmas” with Festive Displays

By Savannah Logan

The Town of Woodstock invites local businesses, churches, youth groups, and civic organizations to join in its annual “Small Town Christmas” celebration. This event will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Woodstock Town Hall. This year’s festivities will feature the town’s traditional Light the Night tree lighting event — with a twist this time.

Woodstock encourages community organizations to showcase their holiday spirit by decorating a tent with a unique Christmas theme. The town will provide a 10’ X 10’ tent and signage for each participating group at no cost, making it easy for everyone to get involved. Participants can select their own holiday decorating theme, reminiscent of traditional storefront displays, and compete for the title of “Best in Show.” The winning organization will be awarded a generous $1,000 Spirit of Christmas donation to a charity of their choice.

This event is an excellent opportunity for organizations to advertise their services and give back to the community. To secure a spot, interested groups must commit by Friday, November 8. To register or receive more information, contact Town Clerk Tiffney McCulley at 205-938-9790 or via email at townclerk@townofwoodstockal.com.
