Free ACT Prep Course in Bibb County with BMC

By Savannah Logan

For high school students aiming to attend college, a strong ACT score is often a critical factor in determining their acceptance and eligibility for scholarships. As the ACT is one of the most widely accepted college entrance exams, performing well can open doors to higher education and reduce the financial burden. Recognizing the importance of preparation, Bibb Medical Center, in partnership with Shelton State Community College, is offering a free ACT prep course for Bibb County residents.

This free course will take place on select dates: October 28, November 4, November 13, November 18, December 2, and December 9. Each session runs from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing students with the opportunity to strengthen their test-taking skills in a structured environment.

The prep course is open exclusively to Bibb County residents, and students can register by emailing Emily Wyatt at ewyatt@sheltonstate.edu. Once proof of residency is submitted, students will be notified of the course location. By participating in these sessions, students can gain valuable insights into the test’s format, improve their performance, and increase their chances of achieving a score that will positively impact their college applications and scholarship opportunities.

With the ACT being a pivotal part of the college admissions process, this free offering from Bibb Medical Center and Shelton State Community College is a tremendous resource for students seeking to improve their future prospects!
