Cahawba Christian Academy Revives School Spirit with Return of Football and Cheerleading
By Savannah Logan
Principal John Russell expressed his excitement about the revival of football and cheerleading at Cahawba Christian Academy. In a message to the school community, he shared his pride in the team and the coaches, stating, “It is great to have football and cheerleading back at Cahawba Christian Academy! Awesome Pep rally at school!”
Despite the challenges faced during their recent game in Guntersville, where the team played through heavy rain and most of the players took the field for the first time, Principal Russell emphasized the positives. “Yes, the loss stings, but even going to Guntersville and playing through very heavy rain with the majority of players playing for the very first time, they played hard and did not quit! I’m proud of the team and coaches! Great foundation and building blocks to only get better,” he remarked.
This marks an important moment for Cahawba Christian Academy as they lay the groundwork for a strong future in sports, with the entire school community rallying behind them.
