MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WOODSTOCK
MONDAY, July 1, 2024, 2024 @ 5:00 P.M.
The Town Council of the Town of Woodstock, Alabama met in a Regular Council Meeting at the Town Hall on Monday, July 1, 2024, 5:00 P.M. A quorum being present: Mayor Jeff Dodson called the meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Dodson. The following Council Members were present: Ronnie Kinard, Kellie Parks, Don Bowling, Ernestine Johnson, Lee Mears. Police Chief Len Price was present. Town Attorney Boozer Downs was also present. Various Public were in attendance.
I. COUNCIL APPROVAL:
- Council Member Ronnie Kinard made the motion to approve the June 17, 2024 minutes as previously submitted by email. Motion was seconded by Council Member
Ernestine Johnson and motion so carried.
- Council Member Don Bowling made the motion to approve the May, 2024 financials as previously submitted by email. Motion was seconded by Council Member
Lee Mears and motion so carried.
- Council Member Don Bowling made the motion to approve the following donation:
West Blocton High School Football Booster Club Donation $300.00
Motion was seconded by Council Member Kellie Parks and motion so carried.
- Council Member Don Bowling made the motion not to participate in the
South Bibb 6U Gold – World Series Sponsorship Advertisement
Motion was seconded by Council Member Lee Mears and motion so carried.
- Council Member Kellie Parks made the motion to approve the following invoice for the Police Department:
EVS – 2024 Tahoe Stalker Radar $1,846.26
Motion was seconded by Council Member Don Bowling and motion so carried.
- Council Member Lee Mears made the motion to approve the following invoice for
the Sewer Department:
George Septic Services – Emergency Sewer Line Repair $650.00
Motion was seconded by Council Member Ernestine Johnson and motion so carried.
II. MAYOR’S REPORT:
A. Resolution #2024-07-01 – Unneeded Property
A motion was made by Council Member Don Bowling to adopt Resolution #2024-07-01, listing the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe (unneeded property) on govdeals.com with a minimum bid set at $2,500.00. The motion was seconded by Council Member Ronnie Kinard and the motion was carried unanimously.
B. Departmental Reports
Departmental Reports were distributed.
Public Comments: Public comments were heard.
There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, Council Member Don Bowling made the motion to adjourn at 5:21 P.M. The motion was seconded by Council Member Ronnie Kinard and upon being put to a vote, the motion was carried unanimously.
